Burmese Christians in New Delhi pray for the well-being of protesters detained by the military junta in Burma

Burmese Christians in New Delhi organised a prayer meeting on August 10 for the well-being of those arrested and detained by the military junta during the recent wave of protests in Rangoon and parts of Burma.
They also prayed for the release of pro-democracy leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, all other political prisoners and for peaceful political transition from military-rule to democracy.

Women outrage over junta’s harassment

Burmese women in New Delhi, India express their solidarity with protesters in Burma who have been set upon by the junta-backed members of the Union Solidarity and Development Association. The protests relate to the demand for a roll back in the increased prices of petroleum products and the consequent rise in essential commodity prices.
